Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 2026

1. Data Controller

This website (media.cyclepil.com) is operated by Cyclepil.
For any privacy-related enquiry, please contact us at: contact@cyclepil.com

2. Data We Collect

We do not use analytics tools, advertising trackers, or any cookies of our own. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal data directly.

Standard web-server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamp) may be retained by our hosting provider for security and operational purposes. These logs are not used for profiling or marketing and are deleted within 30 days.

3. YouTube / Google (Third-Party Content)

Some pages embed YouTube videos. We use a click-to-load approach: no connection to YouTube or Google servers is made until you click the play button. Once you click play, your browser connects to YouTube and the standard YouTube embed loads.

At that point, Google LLC (YouTube's operator) may set cookies and collect data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy. The data may include your IP address, browser information, and viewing behaviour. This processing is carried out by Google as an independent data controller.

By clicking play you acknowledge that YouTube content will load and Google may process your data as described above. If you do not wish for this to happen, please do not click play.

4. Affiliate Links (Amazon Associates)

This site participates in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon. Product links marked (paid link) are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you.

When you follow an affiliate link, Amazon may set cookies on your device in accordance with Amazon's Privacy Notice. We do not receive or store any personal data related to these transactions.

5. Third-Party Images

Product images may be served from Amazon's CDN (m.media-amazon.com). Loading these images causes your browser to connect to Amazon servers, which may log your IP address in accordance with Amazon's privacy policy.

6. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding any personal data we hold:

  • The right to access your data
  • The right to rectify inaccurate data
  • The right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
  • The right to restrict processing
  • The right to data portability
  • The right to object to processing

Because we collect minimal data directly, most requests will be handled immediately. To exercise your rights, contact us at contact@cyclepil.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Cookies

We do not set any cookies ourselves. Third-party cookies may be set by YouTube (after you click play) or Amazon (after you follow an affiliate link), as described above.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
